Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Brain Bridge Academy — from how our courses work to what makes us different.

General
What is Brain Bridge Academy?
Brain Bridge Academy is an online learning platform built specifically for families raising neurodivergent children and the educators who support them. Our courses are designed by professionals with decades of classroom experience and lived neurodivergent parenting — not academics reading from textbooks. We focus on practical strategies you can use immediately, not theory you'll forget by Friday.
Who is behind Brain Bridge Academy?
Brain Bridge Academy is a partnership between NBI-SEMS and NeuroKind Family Advocacy & Support. Our lead instructor, Jenny Roach, has over 22 years of experience in education and is a neurodivergent parent herself. She's currently pursuing her BCBA certification and brings a compassion-first approach to everything we build.
Who are your courses for?
We serve two audiences: families (parents, grandparents, caregivers raising neurodivergent children) and educators (teachers, paraprofessionals, school counselors, and administrators). Whether you're navigating your child's diagnosis at home or supporting neurodivergent students in the classroom, our courses meet you where you are with real-world strategies that actually work.
What does "neurodivergent" mean?
Neurodivergent describes people whose brains work differently from what's considered "typical." This includes (but isn't limited to) autism, ADHD, dyslexia, sensory processing differences, and more. At Brain Bridge Academy, we focus on understanding how each child's mind works — not the label on their file — so you can support them as the whole person they are.
Courses & Content
What format are the courses?
Our courses are microlearning — short, focused modules you can fit into a busy schedule. Each course includes video lessons, downloadable tools and templates, and real-world exercises. No hour-long lectures. No fluff. Just the understanding and strategies you need, delivered in a way that respects your time.
How long does each course take to complete?
Most courses contain 5 modules and take 3-5 hours total to complete. But they're designed to be self-paced — go as fast or as slowly as your schedule allows. Each module stands on its own, so even completing one gives you something you can use right away.
Do educators receive professional development credit?
Yes. All educator courses include a PD certificate upon completion.
Can I preview a course before subscribing?
We offer free introductory content so you can experience our teaching style and approach before committing. Check our course catalog page for available previews, or reach out to us with questions.
Pricing & Billing
How much does it cost?
We offer three subscription paths:

Parent Path: $29/month or $279/year (save ~20%)
Educator Path: $39/month or $379/year (save ~20%)
All-Access Bridge: $59/month or $549/year — includes both pathways plus live monthly Q&A sessions with Jenny Roach

Annual plans save approximately 20% compared to monthly billing. We also offer a 2-pay option on annual educator plans to make budgeting easier.
What's included in the All-Access Bridge plan?
Everything in both the Parent and Educator paths, plus live monthly Q&A sessions with Jenny Roach where you can ask questions, talk through real situations, and connect with other members. It's ideal for parents who also work in education, or anyone who wants the full picture of supporting neurodivergent children across every setting.
Can my school or district reimburse the cost?
Yes — many educators use professional development funds to cover their subscription. We provide an auto-generated reimbursement letter you can download directly from your dashboard and submit to your school or district.
What is your cancellation policy?
You can cancel your subscription at any time. Monthly subscriptions end at the close of your current billing period. Annual subscriptions continue through the end of your paid year. No penalties, no hoops. See our full Cancellation Policy for details.
Schools & Districts
Do you offer school or district licensing?
Yes. We offer per-seat licensing for schools and districts who want to train their staff at scale. District licensing includes significant volume discounts, admin reporting dashboards, and the option to extend family pathway access to the parents in your community — so home and school are working from the same framework. Contact us to discuss your needs.
What's the whole-community model?
Our whole-community model trains educators and supports families with the same framework, the same philosophy, and the same heart. When the language used in the classroom is the same language used at the dinner table, neurodivergent kids get the consistency they need most.
Getting Started
How do I sign up?
Create a free account, choose the path that fits you best (Parent, Educator, or All-Access), and you'll have immediate access to your courses. The whole process takes about two minutes.
I'm not sure which path is right for me.
If you're a parent or caregiver focused on supporting your child at home, the Parent Path is designed for you. If you're a teacher, counselor, or school professional, the Educator Path gives you classroom-ready strategies and PD credit. If you wear both hats — or just want access to everything — the All-Access Bridge is the way to go. Still not sure? Reach out and we'll help you figure it out.
Can I switch between plans later?
Absolutely. You can upgrade or change your plan at any time from your account dashboard. If you start with the Parent Path and realize you want educator content too, upgrading to All-Access is seamless.
